Newport's Elite Skin Studio named UK Skin Clinic of the Year

A Newport skin clinic that began in a garden studio has been named the best in the country. Elite Skin Studio took the title of Skin Clinic of the Year (UK) at the Professional Beauty Awards 2026, announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Royal Lancaster London.

The awards, which have run for more than 25 years, celebrate salons, spas, clinics and individuals across the UK beauty industry. Entries are judged by a panel of industry professionals who work in salons, spas and clinics day to day.

The win came as the business marked 26 years of trading. Founder Anne Ashton started the specialist skin business working from home in 2000, and today she runs it with her daughter, studio director Fliss Williams.

"I can't believe it is 26 years since I first founded Elite Skin Studio in my garden studio," said Anne. "I am so proud to have Fliss leading the business for the next chapter and our whole team who are so talented and dedicated to the beauty industry."

Fliss said the team were absolutely thrilled. "We are absolutely thrilled to be named Skin Clinic of the Year and to represent Newport and Shropshire on a national stage," she said. "We are passionate about delivering results-driven treatments and exceptional client care, and this award reflects the dedication and hard work of our whole team."

The pair invested £70,000 in expanding and renovating the clinic after the pandemic, doubling the size of the premises. It now has six treatment rooms and welcomes clients from across Shropshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and Wales.

The studio offers advanced skin and laser treatments alongside a range of homecare products. Its menu includes in-depth skin consultations, chemical peels, light therapy, electrolysis, long-term solutions for unwanted hair, and treatments for hair growth related to the menopause and PCOS, along with aesthetics appointments.

Professional Beauty editor Eve Oxberry said the standard of entries had been exceptionally high, "meaning our judges had some tough decisions to make".
