Lunts Pharmacy in Ludlow launches round-the-clock prescription collection

Ludlow residents can now pick up their prescriptions at any time of the day or night. Lunts Pharmacy has installed a 24/7 medication collection point, allowing patients to collect their medicines securely whenever it suits them.

The new service is believed to be among the first round-the-clock prescription collection points in a community pharmacy in Shropshire, and it is the first of its kind for the pharmacy's parent company, MSN Pharmacy Group. The equipment was paid for with help from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund's Small Equipment Grant scheme.

It is designed to help people who work irregular hours, those with caring responsibilities and people in rural areas who can find it hard to reach a pharmacy during normal opening times. The Ludlow installation is a pilot, with the potential to roll out across the group if it proves successful.

"The introduction of this 24/7 collection point gives patients greater flexibility and convenience, allowing them to collect their medication when it suits them rather than being restricted by traditional opening hours," said Ravi Nagra, founder and co-CEO of MSN Pharmacy Group.

There has been more good news for the family-run group since. MSN Pharmacy Group was named Pharmacy Group of the Year at the national Pharmacy Business Awards 2026, at a ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London on 2 October.

Husband and wife Ravi and Anj Nagra founded the group in 2012. It has grown to 18 pharmacies, and most of its branches serve towns and villages across Shropshire, in places such as Shrewsbury, Pontesbury, Craven Arms, Highley and Ludlow. Anj Nagra and operations director Helen Whitehouse collected the award on stage.

"For many people, their local pharmacy is a trusted part of everyday life, and that is something we never take for granted," said Ravi. "This award really belongs to our teams. Our pharmacists, technicians, dispensers, counter staff, drivers, managers and everyone at head office make MSN Pharmacy Group what it is."
