Ludlow's summer concerts are here to stay. Live at Ludlow Castle, the series staged inside the walls of the 11th-century castle, will continue until at least 2033 after the castle and independent promoters Futuresound agreed a new exclusive deal.

The news followed the biggest series yet. In July 2026, 50,000 fans came to the castle grounds across two weekends for eight sold-out shows headlined by Snow Patrol, Paul Weller, The Human League, Tom Grennan, The Streets, Rick Astley, Richard Ashcroft and Scissor Sisters. Support came from names such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Miles Kane, Marc Almond, The Lightning Seeds and Heather Small, alongside up and coming acts including Ellur, The Florentinas and Versaints.

The castle grounds also became Shropshire's largest England Fan Zone for the World Cup semi-final between England and Argentina, shown on giant screens the evening before the concerts began.

Futuresound was founded by Ludlow man Colin Oliver, and the series of 6,000-capacity events has been built with the castle team since its debut in 2023. The promoters were named Regional Promoter of the Year at the 2025 LIVE Awards.

"The ongoing success of Live at Ludlow Castle and our newly extended deal proves that together we've built something special with Ludlow, the Castle and the community at its core," said Andy Smith, Head of Live at Futuresound Group. Gemma England, General Manager of Ludlow Castle, said: "The impact of Live at Ludlow Castle on our town is clear to see, with thousands of people coming to Ludlow and discovering everything our town has to offer."

The 2027 series will run from 15 to 25 July. McFly were the first headliner announced, followed by Becky Hill and then UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, who will play on Sunday 18 July with special guests David Rodigan, General Levy and The Marley Experience. More acts are still to be revealed.

Local residents get a head start on tickets, with postcode pre-sales offered to the SY7, SY8, HR6, DY14 and WR15 areas before general sale.

Line-ups, dates and ticket information for the 2027 series are on the Live at Ludlow Castle website.
