Ironbridge View Townhouse named the region's best self-catering stay

The Gold award, announced in March, places the townhouse among the very best self-catering providers in the region. The house is a restored holiday home at 2 Severn Bank, set in a quiet courtyard in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside there is a well equipped kitchen, a cosy living room, a large bedroom with a king-size bed plus a single, and a bathroom with a large bath and separate shower. It sleeps three, has free parking and is a pet-free property.

Most of the Ironbridge Gorge museums are within walking distance, and the townhouse is surrounded by cafes, independent shops selling antiques, books and art, and walking trails. Its own website even promises that kingfisher spotting can become part of the morning routine.

Guests who want a little extra can book treatments from a visiting spa company, Love Pamper, which brings massages and facials to the house.

The regional title adds to a long list of accolades the owners display on their website. They list the West Midlands Tourism Awards self-catering title for both 2025 and 2026, along with wins for scenic and picturesque holiday homes and guest satisfaction, and the property has been featured in Good Housekeeping magazine.

For Ironbridge, the award is another sign of the area's strength as a place for short breaks. Visit Telford noted that from heritage attractions and cultural experiences to independent food and drink and scenic walking routes, the area continues to attract visitors for both short breaks and longer stays.
