Hadley Park House Hotel in Telford toasts a regional wedding award

An independently owned four-star hotel in Telford has been celebrating after its wedding team was recognised as the best in the region. Hadley Park House Hotel was named Wedding Venue (Hotel) of the Year for the West Midlands at the Wedding Industry Awards.

The award carries extra weight because of how it is decided. As general manager Jason Morgan explained, judges look at detailed information about how the hotel supports couples, but only couples who actually married at the hotel in the previous year can vote. The regional win also sent the hotel through to the national finals, judged in Liverpool in January 2026.

Hadley Park House is centred on a Georgian Grade II listed manor house set in two acres of landscaped gardens. It has 22 individually designed bedrooms, split between feature rooms in the main house and a modern West Wing, with four-poster rooms among them.

The hotel holds only one wedding a day. Couples can choose between the Mulliner Suite, the bright Conservatory, the smaller Oak-panelled Room or an outdoor ceremony area, and the venue can cater for up to 140 guests. Packages include an exclusive-use option and winter weddings, and couples can even return to celebrate their first anniversary with a free meal. Sales and marketing manager Amanda Round said the team works closely with couples, planning every detail to help them feel confident and relaxed.

Dining is in Dorrell's Restaurant, where the head chef uses local ingredients wherever possible, championing Shropshire meat, fish, cheese and vegetable producers. Afternoon tea, themed dinners and special lunches run through the year.

It is not only about weddings. The hotel also hosts meetings and conferences, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and proms, and offers rooms for business travellers, with Shropshire breakfasts to start the day.

Its central location makes it a handy base for visitors, too, with the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site and Telford International Centre both close by, and the wider county's hills, canals and market towns within easy reach.
